I only gave 3 stars because I had so much trouble setting it up; it was my first wireless printer and it was not a straightforward process even though I followed the instructions to a T. I also disliked all the extra software set-up you had to do - in my case, it was even trickier because I have two accounts and I had to do this part twice. Yes, the device came with everything I needed but it didn’t explain well how to get the connection to work. Literally 2-3 hrs later, I figured it out somehow myself; I stil however now have a wireless connection I cannot delete off my computer that comes up, thinking that one is for the printer, because yes, I thought that was what the instructions said to do. It was difficult to add the driver to my computer too; surprised about that. Then I had to go back and further set up the special software last night because the scanner would scan & print, not giving me options to see what I was printing, save it or edit. Glad that got figured out - again, instructions failed at this and had to figure it out myself. I have printed from my cell phone as well; very cool. A lot of the extra features I probably won’t use as I never purchased it for photos or a ton of business but it is probably a great one for that; lots of good editing options within the software and lots of Cloud capabilities. Kind of disappointed the quiet mode isn’t as quiet as my last Canon printer. Also kind of surprised you still have to plug this thing in but I guess wireless convenience doesn’t mean cordless; it still needs a power source. Still, loving that I can sit in another room and print. Haven’t had a chance to test out when the printer is off; suposedly it is supposed to turn on if i hit print. Overall, a good little machine but again, only 3 stars due to poor instructions and the stress. Oh and I thought I was getting 10 free magnets but I only received one. Thought that was kind of cheap of the company but hey, maybe you sell a lot of these things and those magnets add up...haha whatever. It DID come with both ink cartridges - Thank you!! - and I like the prices on the site so will probably purchase from here again now. Very fast shipping; glad to support a Canadian business as well. A little trouble ordering but the techs did get back in reasonable time to ensure the printer would work for me, so thanks.
