Smart Wifi Power Outlet S25 - LivingWise
2.4Ghz only working and google home not working with this outlet
Bought this outlet when on sale. Happy with my purchase and the outlets. Pros : Price. On sale it was a good deal for Smart outlets. Yes, it will work with Google Home (I also assume Alexa). Use the Home Mate app for setup, not the PrimeCables one. Connect Home Mate to Google Home and you are good to go. Cons : It is much more "bulky" then a lot of the other options on the market right now. The shape also makes plugging something else into the second outlet sometimes challenging. The unit has an audible "click" when turning on and off. The power button is quite bright so if you put this in a bedroom, the ambient light is ... substantial. I had to put black tape over the button to dim it. Also note, that these will only connect to 2.4Ghz WIFI and you will need to be connected to your WIFI using 2.4Ghz. This definitely isn't a deal breaker as connecting to 2.4Ghz can be done pretty easily (with Android) even on a mixed 2.4/5Ghz network when your phone defaults to 5Ghz. 3.5/5 stars. For a budget outlet, can't be beat.
straight forward and works as intended
still in box
not impressed
Cheap Chinese product. Difficult to set up with little and conflicting web support. Finally, though it does the job.
