V600 was not available so I selected this V550 because I'm working on the family tree and have about 400 old B/W negatives and about 1000 photographs going back a hundred years. Love the Digital Ice Setting, it cleaned up all the and cracks quite well. There are images I have never seen of my Dad's career with the R.A.F. during WWII. I recommend this scanner. This was the lowest price with free shipping.

This scanner had easy software installment and has worked perfectly since the day I purchased it. The clarity is awesome. The ease of use is great and simple

The scanner gives be me the ability to transfer the historical image to digital to be kept and can be share. It is very easy to work with.

I have down loaded over 500 slides. they all look good. I am very happy with the scanner
