BUYERS BEWARE These cables were working originally okay for 3x 1080p 120Hz output (though I could not turn on Freesync or anything then) Fast forward to today, 2 years later the purchase of 3 of these and upgrading my monitors to 3x 1440p 170Hz: 1st cable is capable for running 1440p at 60Hz and no Freesync 2nd cable is only cable of running 1080p at 60Hz and no Freesync 3rd cable isn't even capable of displaying anything on my new screen. At first, I thought I got a faulty screen, but as soon as I swapped these cables out for another set, I can max out my monitors at 1440p 170Hz with Freesync on. Touching the cable, it would sometimes turn on and off. These cables are only good for low performance screens, and will eventually die out. Not worth the money at all, especially compared to the cables that are "PrimeCables" branded that work better than these "Monoprice"... Another very important note while choosing cables: DisplayPort cables are rated for best performance at the max length of 10ft, which after that, there are no guarantees. For better performance above 15ft, you absolutely need an active cable that costs a whole lot more. Unfortunately, nowhere was it stated that these cables were passive and warn the users that it will not work at the advertised resolutions and speeds as it goes beyond the recommended specs stated by VESA. Unfortunately, I learned about all this outside of my warranty period, so I guess these cables will be going to the garbage.

Bought this to I replace my dangling 10ft Rankie cable and clean up my workstation. First cable would flicker and work for about a second at a time. Contacted supported to get a second one shipped out. Second one didn't work at all and I'm still using the dangling 10ft cable. This is the first time that a Monoprice cable has disappointed.

Dear customer, That could be a sign of the DP port on your device has dust or oxidation built up. since getting two defective cables is really rare but still possible, try to twist the connector a bit after you plug in the new cable and see if the signal will comes our or not also we would suggest you to clean up the DP port with compress air a bit and try the cable again. Absolute garbage quality cable. My monitor flickers every time you touch the cable anywhere along its length. I needed a longer cable to accommodate good cable management and chose to buy these to my regret. Buy quality cables elsewhere.
