I cannot figure out what the power/batteries are for, I don't see any led lights.

Positives: - Nice to have 2-in-1 lens so you can easily switch between them when working different projects - The adjustable arms are sturdy and hold projects in place - It is convenient to power to built in light by batteries when you are on the go but, you also have the option to plug it into almost any USB socket if you are going to be using it for longer periods of time. Negatives: - The soldering iron holder was a nice idea, but I find that it is unstable when the soldering iron is in it so I would only use it if you can weigh down the front. - It also would have been nice if they included a piece of foam in the front metal tray for cleaning the soldering iron. Summary: - Overall the construction of this helping hands is very good for the price, even with it being made out of plastic. Just for future suggestions, it would be nice if the front had a little more weight, so that the soldering iron holder could be used.

Very well designed it is plastic but seems solid a good buy for price

Just like having two more hands to hold stuff. great too if you use reading glass
