This speaker would be perfect except for the annoying voice prompts and sound effects: "Bluetooth mode" "Clock mode" "FM mode" are all played startlingly loud regardless of the volume setting. It's almost comical that when you want silence and mute the speaker by turning the volume to 0, the speaker alerts you with loud chirping! The build quality seems to be good and the sound is fine for what it is. Maybe for occasional use as a portable BT but I can't live with a speaker that barks at me day after day.
