15-Watt, 1x12 Guitar Combo Tube Amplifier with Celestion Speaker and Spring Reverb - Monoprice®
This is a fantastic amplifier! Has a great tube sound to it, the 1W / 15W switch means that you can literally crank it to 10, get all that great valve tone out of it, and not meet the neighbours in the process. The FX loop works as expected. The only thing I'm not the biggest fan of is the onboard reverb, but at this price, it's really a non issue. Buy this amp.
I have now had the Stage Right 15 Watt amp for over a year. Total price C$335.99 all costs in. It arrived 6 days after I ordered it. I am truly impressed. I bought it because I needed a lightweight, low cost tube amp for carrying around to rehearsals and jam sessions. It is about half the weight of my other (30 Watt) tube amp and was half the price of anything else on the market. It sounds as good as any "brand name" amp - I've made no mods. I may have changed out 1 preamp tube, which is normal maintenance. I use it for every rehearsal and jam. I alternate between the Stage Right and my larger amp for gigs, depending on which guitar I'm using. I prefer the larger amp when I use my thin single coils, but with humbuckers or P-90's the Stage Right sound is awesome!. It's plenty loud for bar gigging. It has the necessary controls to get a wide variety of tones at any volume. I've had no issues in a year of steady use, so I can say the quality is good.
No I did not even get it out of the box before I saw the amount of damage that was done. Product returned and should be with you to0morrow? I do hope you send me a replacement with all haste as it is a Christmas present
This is my first tube amp, and it's loud. I wish I bought it years ago but it's always been out of stock. It's well made and sounds great. Perfect for beginners like me.
So far this amp is great. It’s somewhat in between British and American as far as tone goes but i’d probably say it’s more British. My only issue is the mid control seems to mostly only affect the mid-high mids while the low mids stay mostly unaffected but that’s more of a personal taste issue and isn’t a big one at that. After warming up for about 30 minutes the tone begins to sound great and only gets better over the next hour or so. Lots of people don’t like the stock speaker and I’m tempted to replace it but I don’t think it sounds particularly bad. I hear the 70/80 sounds bad when pushed really loud but at 15 watts, it’s doubtful you’ll get there and with the tone knob on the amp, it’s easy to tame the harsh highs usually associated with the 70/80 It holds up to a loud drummer in a practice setting but probably will need to be mic’d for gigs. It doesn’t do clean well, or at least very loud, especially with high output pickups but they sound pretty good, and after warming up the distortion sounds amazing. Due to the low wattage and good sound and versatility, this amp is ideal in a practice and recording context Time will tell how long it will last but judging by other reviews it’ll be a while
Great price on a excellent product! Passed it on to interested friends!!
