Wall Mount Hanger For Guitar, Bass, Mandolins And More - PrimeCables®
I mean, it holds up my guitars, but it would be better if the holder were narrower. As you can see in the photos, the acoustic is resting on the tuning key, which in not ideal. The strat is balanced precariously and I don’t really trust it. Maybe my guitars have unusually headstalks, but I doubt it…
I know that my guitar's head is not wide compared to other models out there. But the product description claims that at it's widest, the Y-shaped brace is 2 1/8" wide. But in reality, it's closer to 2 1/2". And when you hang a guitar on it, the foam is getting compressed a lot. My guess is that the solid core of the brace is closer to 3" apart. So in my case, the guitar slides down and all of its weight rests on the tuning keys. This is not acceptable. I know that the brace is narrower at the back, but I won't risk that my guitar may slide toward the front and end up messing with the tuning keys. I'll return it for sure. Also, don't be fooled by the pictures of the all back mounting plate: there is a Prime Cable logo printed on it!
