Full-Motion Above Fireplace Pull-Down TV Wall Mount For 43"-70" TVs PrimeCables®
I have mounted 65 inch Samsung TV. Still having issue keeping the mount down at eye level. it will stay down for some time and then after sometime it will go back up abruptly ? concerned it may damage the TV ? Will give 4 Stars when this problem gets corrected
I receive the product with the opened package, contact the customer service, but they insist the item is brand new, no other follow up, AS-IS. I am vary unhappy.
It feels solid but quality is not really good. Less than an year since installed and it makes loud noises when brought down or lifted back up. I haven't been able to locate exactly what's causing the noise but seems to be coming somewhere around the gas mechanism. Also, the tv gets rotated either to left or to the right when brought down using the handle so it slants to one side and needs to be adjusted every time.
Installed very quickly and easily with all necessary hardware. Instructions were clear and easy to understand. Product seems to be solid in terms of mounting points. Not as smooth as I would have hoped as the initial pull-down has a lot of resistance. Also, there's an issue with the adjustment bolt to adjust the weight compensation for the tv. It snaps up every time we pull the tv down. It happens at certain height while moving up or down . Sounds like bolt snapped (main bolt and two side bolts jumps. Please let me know solution or I have to return this product.
This is an extremely heavy mount. Unfortunately My tv did not weigh enough to bring the arm down. Wish they would make one like this for lighter tvs.
**be cautious that this is not for all TV's size 43-70"*** The mount itself is pretty straight forward to put together (minus the TV weight screw is a bit confusing and you have to play around to get it right). We used both the instructions and the video on the website to install the mount. took around 4 hours. First off, don’t even waste your time with the wall anchors they provide. They are cheap and no good. We installed them in our wall and when we tried to screw in the long screws they give you, the anchor just spun in the wall with the drill. This was a huge hassle for us. We just ended up buying toggle wing wall anchors and using the long screws that they come with (says they are good up to 90 lbs). This will save you time and a headache (and huge unnecessary holes in your wall) to just do in the first place. We also found that before purchasing this wall mount you should look at where the screws for mounts are on the back of your TV. We have a 55 inch TV from Toshiba and our wall mount screws holes were in the middle and lower portion only of the TV. This meant that the brackets that came with the TV mount (that don’t slide into smaller sizes by the way) fit on the TV fine… but the 2 vertical brackets stick down about 7 inches below our TV (as shown in the picture) and then the one horizontal bracket goes across at the bottom there. We had no more room to use the handle they provided. We also noticed that because of where our wall mounts were on our TV that our TV just barely fit in the space when hooked onto the wall mount (it just skimmed our ceiling) and that you could see a ton of the wall mount under the TV set (again I have included a photo AFTER I painted some cardboard black and taped it to the bottom to hide some of the mount and cords). If you don’t mind that then you should be fine.. Just note how much space you have from your fireplace mantle to the roof and check where the wall mount will hook to the tv to make sure you have the clearance. The pull down apparatus is one of the most difficult things. Our TV is approx. 32 lbs and we had to make the weight to the way bottom for the bracket to even move down at all (we thought for sure we were going to rip it right out of the wall trying to pull it down the first time). The bracket definitely moves easier when the weight of the TV is on it, but to install the top cover plate on the wall bracket it says to bring down the pull down without the TV, and then place the TV on it. This would not work with only one person and the person pulling it down has to be strong as it will want to spring back to the upright position without the TV weight… ALSO NOTE, there is a trick to pulling down the mount without a TV on it.. you must tilt the mount that would go on the back of the TV up a bit, if it is facing down at all the mount will not budge. A cool safety feature… but not specified anywhere on the website or the instructions. I am very happy with the price and quality of the product but I don't think it is meant for all the TV's they claim they fit without showing the mount or cords behind.
