when I installed one of them the machine requires changing the cartridge tn 730 is generally what I use on my brother's machine I really don't know what to do

The cartridge came with no chip and they told me to use the old one from the cartridge that the printer came with and it’s a different size doesn’t fit. Trying to get my money back.
