The item’s lip seems to be short so sometimes when I tilt it too much the laptop falls. Also the side screws to tighten when you tilt the top loosen over time. I am just worried if I tighten it too much and it breaks or doesn’t hold the top still.

It's a bit unstable, the locking mechanisms aren't really sturdy and often come loose. There's also no locks to prevent the legs from folding in. The ridge isn't high enough so my laptop often slides off.

I bought one around a year ago. The tilting handle no longer locks in place now. Still, it's sturdy and the price is pretty good so I got some for the children.
