After a short period of usage, I got a message that the cartridge was no longer in communication with the printer. I removed and cleaned the cartridge, re-installed the cartridge and it worked for about another 10 pages and then the same error. After going through this for about 3 times, I gave up and installed a new cartridge and everything now works. Uo until now, I have had no problems with the replacement cartridges, so, I guess that I just got a dud this time.
