3/5 as a toilet light. Bought 3 and they all broke within a few months. The optical cable must have cracked internally because the light got very dim. As a general motion activated night light put anywhere else other than the rim of the seat, it's a solid 5/5. Wish I realized earlier these work better hanging off the toilet roil arm than on the bowl.
