Works well with loose leaf standard teas. Teas that have smaller particles will seep through the holes, resulting in a cup with noticable tea sediment.

Very good product for its price. The casing in on the thin side and the connection of the two halves of the ball could possibly become loose with time (there is kind of thread). Other than that, it looks and feels nice. The sizing is just fine, not small and not huge.
