I bought that cutter in November 2018. Now end of January 2019: Had the time to try it several times. This thing is perfect for my need. Cuts very well, very easy to use. Yes there is some loss but try cutting a pineapple without any loss..it's impossible. Glad I bought it. Try to buy a straight pineapple. There will be less loss.

Makes the pineapple-prep job so much easier (and maybe even fun?) Plus at the end you have a pineapple bowl left over. Good times.

I was concerned about waste after reading a review. However there is little waste in a medium size pineapple and with a bit of effort more pineapple is recovered in larger fruit. I am very pleased with this product.
