I can't see how to edit my previous review... but for anyone reading the lower ratings, i installed two of these. On one, the red light blinks every 25 seconds. On the other, the red light blinks every 15 seconds (possibly due to a plugged in load...?) Anyway, they seem to work fine. Test buttons work etc... so I would rate these 5 if the light didnt blink all the time. It might be due to a self test as someone else mentioned but it's annoying in a dark room and a red light would indicate to me that there's a problem.

These are a great deal, however, if you install these to protect a non grounded circuit (ie older home), the red malfunction light blinks constantly/intermittently. Annoying. At least that's what happened on the first one... otherwise the unit is actually malfunctioning right out of the box and it's a dud. Hope not, i bought 3 more...!
