I got this when it went on sale for 25.99. I used this adaptor with my dell latitude 7490. The laptop has an HDMI port and a usb type c dp port. I connected the native HDMI port to a monitor with an HDMI cable. I used the adaptor on the usb c dp port and connected to another monitor with an HDMI cable. I now have three screens to work with, which is fantastic. The usb a port works fine - I tested using my smartphone - it does both charging and data transfer. The usb c port is exclusively for drawing power TO the laptop. The power direction cannot be reversed. This disappointed me as I would have preferred data transfer capability and device charging capability. I cannot dock maple leaves though as this feature was explicitly declared in the product description. I went ahead and got this adaptor because the price point was attractive.

Good bang for the buck!! Works well with PD for either my MacBook Pro and my work Lenovo T470. Handy as a port replicator (docking station) for both machines. Easy to switch from one to the other. Even works to charge my OnePlus 5T which is USB-C. Great to keep in my laptop bag with an HDMI cable, this way I can connect to any TV (hotel, friends...). Looking to pick up another, hopefully can get it on sale again.
