You're such a tiny little set of speakers I'm really surprised that they put us a sound well worth the $14.99 special one-day price that I pick two of these boxes up for. Speaking of boxes, the outside of the box exterior design and packaging is wonderful and the inside is perfect with a great fit and lots of protection. Pops out one little subwoofer and two small speakers and jacket in and there you go. Simply improve sound for most smaller applications. Of course jacket into your laptop definitely! Your smile FM radio or handheld or your phone! And if your TV has crappy sounds this will improve it somewhat. It's not a huge bass woofer kind of thing but it definitely creates a sound. Have a bed night stands radio with a little speaker? Put these in to the jack for the earphones and you've got much-improved sound! They're very decently made and I like the little subwoofer hole with a different color. Rubber feet on the subwoofer and the built-in wires that you just Jack in and there you have it very simple controls louder softer send nothing to exciting there. But what do you want for 15 bucks because this is a gift at that price. They regularly sell it for more and that's why I jumped on it and bought two. but then again I'm a subwoofer 3 speaker Maniac. I've attached subwoofers on everything that's audio just about! And these are no exception :-)the only thing is missing is Bluetooth but for this price I wouldn't expect this still have the electronics to be built in for this one.

To be fair this small amplified speaker set needs to be evaluated according to its price ($15 in my case), not against speakers that are worth 10 times that. The port on the sub is not particularly well tuned and peak at around 80Hz with a huge harmonic peak at around 160hz and the highs are lacking. I would suggest to avoid placing the sub close to a wall to get a flatter response, and to place the satellites at ear level. That being said, plug this 2.1 speakers into an Echo dot and you get a decent small room music player that will satisfy most people - i.e. non-audiophiles. It blows my mind that this can be manufactured and sold for so little money. Also, don't worry about the seemingly low output power: at normal listening levels most of the amplitude is generated in the first 2 watts.

It is a good speakers and get the job done. Got it at a discount, and it meets the expectation.

basic speakers. don't expect too much for $10 speakers. but sound is loud enough.
