I bought a second one of these. To update my previous review, if too much liquid is spilled onto it, it will leak through if not taken off RIGHT AWAY; however, 99% of the time, it doesn't and I'm (obviously because I got a 2nd one) glad I purchased it. Oh, it is also great for keeping dog hair and other dog things (I have a 13/14 year old with incontinence problems) off the mattresses of the Futons that I bought these for.

Great concept. It's a bit expensive (maybe 30% more than I wanted to pay) but there aren't many options on the market. One thing I didn't expect was that it has a layer of absorbent material over the waterproof layer, so it can't easily be wiped off. The whole thing needs to be washed. But machine wash cold worked just fine. Corners are a bit difficult to fit around mattress edges too. Not bad though.
