      Seems their distance is really limited, I have one on my kettle and it is offline more than on. the second one I have hooked to a light, it is within 3 feet. The Kettle is 25 feet from the router and it's a no-go. Fine for short range, line of sight.

            Minus the weird permission it requires. Why does an app (Tuya) need to know my location when I just want it to turn my power on and off during hours. Kind of weird no? These stopped working after less than a year. Have attempted to reset, delete from app, readd. Kind of crazy when you have your lights turning off every 3 minutes. Before you ask yes it uses 2.4ghz, my router offers both.
