Got some of these sponges for kids to use at shower/bath time. I'll just note that when you first start using them they are a little coarse and will be irritating to sensitive or thinner skin. The 4 year old using them had to have them 'broken' in (a few washing machine cycles with laundry and runs through the dryer on low) before she could use them, as it was very "scratchy" on her skin.

upper layer got torn after 4 5 uses

Quality matches the price. Could be better but can't complain for the price.
