Cuts straight. Add says there is a hold down device but there wasn't. The handle stays up and cannot be fastened down. Dangerous!!!!

The adjustable guide on mine is slightly slanted. This means when you cut paper using it, your paper will also be slightly slanted. Avoid using it if yours is like that. It'd cost money to do an exchange so I didn't really bother since I just need a heavy duty paper cutter anyway. If your adjustable guide isn't slanted, the productivity of cutting paper will be super good
