I bought these to try out and since the reviews were mixed I figured I'd see for myself. They don't work on regular thin paper, even with an adult using them. Perhaps the person with the good review got one from a different batch.

dollar store quality - doesn't cut well ... forget the kids, even adults have a hard time cutting with this
