Love the design and weight of this bin. I wish the lid sat in to itself a bit more deeply and otherwise I think it's well designed. I have had one other bin in the past and it was too light and was hard to operate with one hand. Otherwise I have just used the 1 galleon square yogurt containers and they are okay but the fruit flies get into them more easily and it takes two hands to operate and they don't look as nice. I got this at the end of fruit fly season and the ones that remained left it alone. The real test will be next summer.

Nice simple design. Fits Biosak Compostable Bin Liners (11.36 L/3 gallons) from Costco. A nice feature is that there are holes for you to tuck the excess compost bag around the lip so that the bag is taught around the rim. I went from using a compost bag each day to changing it every e days with this larger container.

I am pleased with a bigger size

I used this to replace a city provided compost bin that had so much use the lid broke. I love the way the lid closes tight and so easy. I won't be able to truly rate it until the summer when I see how many fruit flies it keeps out, but so far I love it!
