I bought them because my current chair arms were falling apart. I thought they were not going to be firm and sink in, but these were very solid and memory foam seem to work as intended. Measurements were bigger than my chair's current arms. However, these connected to them pretty well since the connecting area is smaller than the actual size of the pad. There is also Velcro straps to connect if you can't connect using the stretchy fabric included.
