The tape does glow for a while. Even after a few hours can still see it faintly. The green tape is better than the orange for showing up in the dark. I used it on my seniors's canes, door edges, table edges in the garage and my work chair to find those things in the dark. This is the second roll I have bought.

a nice blue in the light. the blue in the dark is soft. it's visible but not as bright as the picture shows.
