Remote control does not work. The LED does not come on so I suspect a death battery on arrival (typically electronics should not have the battery inserted in the device during shipping!) but reading another review I also see that some people report that it never worked even after replacing the battery.

I didn't receive exactly what was described on the product page. Here's what I received: A 433MHz remote (not IR), which avoids the problems with range! However, it uses a 12V battery and only has 4 buttons (power, temperature, brightness, 30 min timer). The base of the lamp has the same four buttons. This means that the brightness cannot be adjusted up or down and there are only 5 levels (a downgrade from what is described). However, there are also 5 different temperatures (an upgrade from 3). Aside from those inconsistencies, I like the lamp. The power cord is too short for a standing desk, unless you attach your power outlets to the desktop. The angle adjustment of the head is too stiff though and feels like it could break from the force required. I would like if it was taller or if the middle hinge were closer to the top.

Plastique léger mais ça devrait durer, fonctionne tel que décrit. Excellent pour voir son clavier ou travail de bureau. Par contre, pour s'éclairer le visage en vidéoconférence, la lumière vient de trop haut, ça ne donne pas un résultat fantastique (ex. crée de l'ombre sous le nez ou trop éblouissant dans les yeux).

The degree of articulation is insufficient. The light segment should allow a full 360 degree rotation. I have a different model that had good articulation but was short on the controls so I thought I would give this model a try and it turns out I have to sacrifice articulation for better controls. You would think that it's simple enough to figure out the strengths of the designs and combine them together into one.
