We used this to enclose a tomato garden and it has worked well at keeping birds out. I has not been as successful with deterring rabbits... they have easily chewed openings at the bottom of the fencing. We solved this problem by adding a two foot high chicken wire barrier around the bottom. Your description says it prevents small animals from getting in... that's misleading.
