Frees up the desk top, so that it can be used for paper work or other things. Absolutely love the product, but i think it has two issues; one is that there is no rails or bearings for smooth sliding (sliding keyboard back and forth catches on the metal on metal channel guide), and the other is that the keyboard tray slowly rises no matter how much you tighten it down. Overall for the price i am happy with the purchase.

The product was exactly how I wanted it and it arrived earlier. It was easy to install and it seems sturdy. I use or everyday and it made my life easier and ergonomical. Very good quality/price Product.
