easy assembly and looks good but neither unit is really sliding really well, slides are pretty short, especially if you don't want to have the drawer extend past the front of the desk

Sturdy and great price! The issue is that the drawer itself is actually quite shallow and only opens about half way, so it is hard to put in anything more than just 1-2 notebooks and maybe a stapler and some pens. Because it only opens half way, it is hard to get things in and out, especially notebooks. Had I known this ahead of time, I would have gone with something else.
