speakers are ok but hate the fact that you can't turn off/on the lights.

Either mine are defective or there is no on/off switch on these. I think they do not have on/off switch, that part was disappointing as I would have liked to be able to leave them plugged in and just turn them off. This put it down to 2 stars for me, as it said on/off switch in multiple places on the description page. picture shows it is just volume adjust but words say on/off switch. The knob on the front only is volume up and down, the LEDs stay on as long as usb is plugged in and powered. I would have preferred no led lights or a way to turn them off but I was aiming for cheap so this is what I got. In this case you get what you pay for, plastic box speakers, which is all I need.
