I find it a bit awkward to hold against the pot because it has little feet on the underside that can get in the way with my pot handle. I need check that the feet aren't creating a gap between the drainer and the edge of the pot before I pour out the water. The design also assumes you are holding the pot with your left hand and tipping clockwise. I normally prefer holding my pots with my right hand and tipping counterclockwise.

The drainer works perfectly for preventing food from dropping out of pot when draining and it's much easier to clean than using a mesh strainer bowl, especially for smaller portion of noodles/vegetables.
