It's one of the most helpful kitchen tools/gadgets I've ever encountered, especially with a sizeable farm-style single-basin sink. I bought several to give to everyone in my family. If I've got dishes in the sink and need to rinse food, I have a place to set the colander to drain. It's heavy enough to stay in place and folds like a dream, so I can use it at full width or any partial size.

I have this very solid rack to my daughter. It’s freed up some space in her very limited apartment kitchen counter space. Very strong and solid, she’s nothing to fear when putting heavy things on it.
