It seems to work, if you shack a duster by it the reading will shoot up and after a while seems to filter it out and the reading will drop. I am not sure if it is normal but the reading on mine has never dropped below 3 micrograms and usually if shut off for a while will start at 4. Power consumption on my unit is (all with wifi on): 44w on high (lights on or off) 8w on medium, which is the setting it powers up at (lights on or off) 4w on night mode (lights are always off in this mode)

It looks bigger than I thought. Beep sound is loud and fun noise is a little annoying even in quiet mode at night. I hope it works well for allergies season.

I was not sure only the one I purchased was defected. The fan touched the bottom guard after the filter inserted.
