purchased this as an open box. It says it's rated for 330 lbs but honestly over 200 lbs I wouldn't feel all that safe on it. I'm about 220 and I stay on the edges of the steps as it feels like it will bend in the middle. but for what I need it for it will serve its purpose. beats standing precariously on a chair.
