Something essential. Canon printers are very self caring... They always clean their nozzle like a cat so the cartridge get full in no time. New habit from recent printers. Anyway. I took no chance, I bought two of them, did the same for the MC20 cartridge related to my Pro 1000. The price is right for genuine material. Well packed, delivered in time. I'm satisfied.
