I purchased 2 of these, one for Windows and the other for a Chromebook. Windows connected and worked fine immediately. With Chromebook, at first, all I could do was power devices through the USB ports, no data would transmit. Then, I restarted my Chromebook and it worked fine for data as well. My iMac doesn't support USB C or I would confirm this also. So, I can confirm you're good to go with this device for both Windows and Chromebook. The product description should be updated to reflect its compatibility.

All seems fine, the power pass through is working. Gives my laptop some additional usb ports (can never have too many). Currently testing it with the logitech(tm) receiver in one of the usb 2.0 ports while writing this review and it seems to be working well.

Works well and is very compact.

Does not work. Plugged into multiple different ports on my computer and even plugging into a wall outlet did not work.

Got it for my Chromecast with Google TV. Works as it should, good quality.
