20000mAh Built-in Cable Solar Power Bank with Lamp and Digital Display - PrimeCables®
Wow!
just purchased this model and ordered another one which had not yet been received before the 4 hour power outage we experienced in our community after a terrible wind storm. We used this power bank to charge up our phones and tablets during the outage. We were anticipating the worst scenario regarding regaining power but knew we had the solar recharge option if the outage continued. Fortunately we didn’t have to as the power was restored before midnight. With weather being unpredictable and power outages inevitable these devices offer the security with the solar power charging option to keep your devices charged during severe storms or other unexpected events that could affect the power grid. Our 2nd unit has now arrived so we feel ready for further outages if they occur. It feels sturdy a little bit heavy but powerful.
A little heavier than expected for the battery size. Solar panel looks to be about 1.5W and should be considered as extending the runtime for the battery while charging devices, rather than something that will charge the battery itself. Built in USB plug charges at 5V @ 1.75A = 8.75W, while the USB-C input charges at 4.75V @ 1.55A =7.4W and the USB mini input charges at 5.02V @ 1.28A = 6.5W.
These are incredible power banks, with fairly fast charging capabilities & so far, all the cables are still working. Like the display as to how much juice is still in it. Nice how the cables tuck away when not in use, so don't get hooked on anything. They are quite bulky, so not easily slipped into your pocket. For this reason & that there are absolutely no operating instructions that come with this, is the only reason i give it one less star...if i could, it would be 4.5 stars. There is a power button on the side that you need to double click to turn on 2 led lights on the end. You must double click them again to turn off-had to leave on overnight, as I ran out of patience trying to figure this out. I have yet to try charging this with the solar charger out in the sun(middle of winter here), but it definitely does not charge through a window, so unsure how well it would work out in the woods. I think the sun on the front display lights up green when within enough sunlight to charge ( once again, no instructions) These do take a while to recharge when plugged in if fully exhausted.
Solar is just a gimmick, would take literally months to full charge via solar, but still, it's something. The way the cables work is great, the size of battery for price is fantastic.
The bank is amazing, charges everything really quickly. My son walks around the house with it all the time (because 15 year old's never plan ahead and keep it charged). However it didn't come with any documentation, 4 cables built in and 4 ports on the other end, buy no clarification which one charges it. I assumed it was the Micro USB that charged it however apparently it charges with both the Micro and the "C", which was not a nice shock in the morning that my phone had charged it up and had its battery drained completely. I get the option to fast charge it up, but it therefore cannot use a c to c cable. I would seriously look into adding at least a tiny piece of paper explaining which ports are used to charge it
