if you currently have a magsafe case, the magnet on the holder is not very strong at all. i suggest using the non-magnetic version of this if you do have a thick magsafe case. Otherwise works perfect and the magnetci stickers it comes with are strong for the non-mag safe cases.

Both a very weak magnet and very weak suction cup, I would not trust this at all to hold my phone while driving

It fell apart as I was trying to attach it to the windshield. The magnetic head just fell off and I was not able to put it back on. The screw that holds the magnetic head is tiny, I don't think it would be able to hold heavy cell phone securely.
