Motion Sensor for Smart Home system (LivingWise Zigbee Hub Required) - LivingWise
Has anyone able to get this motion sensor to work with WINK hub? It's just a Zigbee device after all and one of the reviewers below mentioned it works great with other hubs but didn't clarify which. I also have a LivingWise hub but of course I can't use it to trigger my z-wave lights and other things or even integrate with Google Home/Assistant.
This is a rebranded of the Orvibo sensor. Works great with smartthings with a custom DTH. The motion detection is as quick as the Iris motion from Lowes and timeout is around 10 secs. The detection led is a little too bright and there's no way to turn it off but if you are handy. You could open up the sensor and put some black electrical tapes on the 2 leds. https://github.com/Kriskit/SmartThingsPublic/blob/master/devicetypes/kriskit/orvibo/orvibo-motion-sensor.groovy
Works great with the Smarthtings hub and the Orvibo handler. FOV on this thing is not that bad and fairly happy with it! Very cheap alternative to the 40 dollar Samsung ones.
These have an impressive range. Much better than the 10 meters you normally get from a ZigBee device. But they will not work in the cold. I had installed a sensor on my deck, but as soon as the temperature dropped below 0, it started triggering a motion event every second. Really good for indoor use, but not for outdoor use.
Motion Sensors work very well. I've paired them to a SmartThings hub instead of the Zigbee hub and it captures all motion in the rooms that I've set them in. I like that notifications can be sent to my phone and announcements can be made via Alexa when motion is detected in the rooms where they are set up.
Working perfectly with my smarting. It is not on the device list but after scanning it will show up as Orvibo Motion Sensor. So far it detect as 100% . Only problem i have right now is the battery compartment is bit tight so it is hard to remove the battery.
