I ended up buying a cabinet that I thought was way overkill, I bought it on price and it was an open box. To break up the space I bought this shelf. Fit perfect and my overkill cabinet no longer is feeling overkill.

So I can't be too critical because I'm a noob, and the pricing on this shelf is really good. I purchased this with the universal rack (Cab-PC-08008) on PrimeCables, and I know the reviews all talked about the fit not working, but there were reviews saying it worked with the PrimeCables rack system, so I figured I would give it a try and of course it did not fit, so I had to get creative to make the shelf work. All in all, I have my setup complete, but honestly, it was more a PIA than it needed to be!

Arrived bent on the sides but still very functional and inexpensive. I am using it as a bottom shelf for the 15U/12U Capacity Open Frame Server Rack as it doesn't work anywhere else on the rack.

I wish I had read the other reviews here before buying. Just like most others are saying, this product is NOT "universal". Do not buy unless you know exactly where to use it (I presume for some wire mesh or 1U racks or if you have a spare set of rack ears laying around, per the limited positive comments here?)... I bought two unfortunately, and they don't fit in the Open Frame Server Rack I also bought from this site

Don't buy at all. I don't know for what kind of rack you can use them but I have a 42u at home and I bought a 6u and the 8u on this site and it don't work at all. You can't secure them at all. I have to put tap metal screw or will drill a hole and put a nut and hex screw

Excellent shelf. Well priced. About to order a couple more.
