I'm in a city so TV towers are 9 and 12 miles from me, separated by almost 180 degrees on the compass. I assembled the antenna and hooked it up indoors close to a window to test it out before mounting outdoors. I was able to pull in all channels from both towers with zero issue. You seriously cannot beat this performance for the price, as far as I'm concerned, for urban use at least. This antenna also covers the VHF-Hi band for channels in the analog channel 12-13 range, which not all newer antennas cover.

Excellent Antenna, Mississauga Ont. PLEASE READ. Antenna is well built, Im using with a preamp( Ant-1005). The VHF large loop, has a mounting issue, however. Do NOT assemble VHF loop (large loop) through the 2 black plastic holes with the top mounting wing nut. I mounted it "on top", of the 2 holes, using a 2 tie wraps. If you mount the way pic shows, it will short out the VHF element to the "boom" which is ground, and reception will decrease or even no signal at all. The wingnot screw makes contact with the VHF and the ground boom, mounting. Other than that design flaw, I get 30 channels, well constructed for high winds..

Although I have not yet used this antenna, I'm happy with this reasonable price of this purchase, as my risk is limited in case it does no work in the future.
