I like the hamper, but my poor rating reflects the quality in terms of assembly. First, the 8 predrilled holes for the frame were too small and the screws were very difficult if not impossible to drive in. On my third screw, the screw sheared off in the wood. This was a predicament. I had to re-drill all the holes with a larger bit, and try to drill out the one with the embedded screw shaft - which was sketchy because I didn't have a carbon tungsten drillbit, and then scrounge around the shop for a right size screw. Then, when I was threading the dowels into the casings on the cloth bags, one of the casings was too small for the dowel. I had to unpick the sewing and re-sew it to fit. Thirdly, once assembled, one of the drawers is very stiff to pull out. I will need to sand it down. Fourthly, the dowels are not parallel with the top, giving the whole thing a somewhat rakish look. I should give it one star, but otherwise it's fine and certainly a tidy way of managing laundry.

I've been using this for two months now, so I feel I've used it enough to write a review and overall it looks good and functions properly. All the pieces are light weight but when it comes together it's stable. I don't know how well it would stand up to a lot of heavy use but for a single person that needs a nice looking hamper, it does the job and I would buy it again if I needed another one. It does require some assembly and the instructions are all visual but a bit hard to follow - I've removed one star for this reason and I believe it is possible to damage the unit if you use the wrong screws for the different sections (there are screws of various lengths to be used in different areas but it's easy to confuse which size is meant for which piece and unscrewing mistakes would weaken the sections. Similarly over tightening screws will split the pieces).

Just what I wanted. Baskets slide out easily and it is convenient to be able to put items on top of the shelf.

Purchased two units and very disappointed. Unit 1: no issues building it. After a few days of pulling a bag out to put clothes in, one of the wood pieces to allow the bag to slide in and out became detached. The bag was only half full. Unit 2: multiple issues - a screw broke during the assembly process, one of the bag’s loops was sewn too small therefore could not thread the wooden rod through it. Overall, items feel flimsy.

looks good and looks sturdy, but there were 4 cylinders missing to hand the hamper.

Nice laundry hamper.
