It works well, looks good (the silver finish is much nicer in person than in the photos), and seems to be quite sturdy. I've run into a couple issues I had to fix myself though. - unbalanced when clamped. (fixed with some drawer liner, to even out pressure on bottom side of clamp) -spun on its own even at max tension. (fixing the balance helped a little, sanded the plastic insert a little to make it gritty. Not enough for grinding noises, ofc) -tension for mic must be VERY high to hold mic in place. Otherwise it raises on its own or droops on its own. - cable clips barely fit standard size XLR cable. Don't expect to get a premium cable in there, I had to trim mine to be workable with my cable. Other than the above issues, the unit is well built and serves its purpose well! Better value than similarly priced boom arms, for sure. The base is much better especially.
