The plug itself was larger (chunkier) than expected. If you plug this into a power bar, expect it to take up a space and a half. While the Smart + Shopper app was fine in terms of controlling the smart plug from my iPhone, I didn't like that you need to install yet another third-party app (Tuya) in order to connect the plug to a smart home device like Alexa Echo dot. It took me over an hour to pair and set up the smart plug via the Tuya and Alexa apps. It was only through trial and error that I realized that the reason that Alexa was not responding to voice commands to turn on/off the smart plug, was because I had named the plug "kitchen" (which apparently is too long of a name and elicited error messages that "kitchen is not supported"). It was only when I renamed the plug with a shorter moniker like "plug" that I could get Alexa to control the smart plug via voice command. Frustrating experience for that reason.

I found the smart socket easy to set up using the iPad S+ app. The instructions seemed slightly out of date but just link when the blue light is blinking quickly. Also, be sure the socket is within range of your wifi (obvious but...) else it will pair but forget everything soon after. 10 minutes or less to set up. Another 5 to link to google assistant. With these hot days its controlling my fan. Air conditioner next.
