First unit was defective, customer service replaced it without any argument. Cannot get the unit to connect by wifi but I probably wouldn't use the Tuya app. After receiving the replacement unit I disassembled the defective unit to see what the issue was; a manufacturing defect meant the plug was not able to fully insert in to the socket. I cut off the socket, tinned the leads and plugged them in to a "2.1mm Female DC (DC14) Power Jack Plug Adapter for CCTV Camera" / Ada-2-1mm-DCJack-F outside the case and was able to power on the unit. I looked at the electronics, this is based off a WBR3 chip. I could not find RX and TX obviously exposed, however SDA and SCL are along with VCC and GND. There is plenty of space inside so I will probably experiment with an ESP8266 or similar as a project to add in wifi control for Home Assistant, connecting to the front panel buttons as a simple workaround to turn the unit on and off. Unit is silent and makes no noise in operation. There is an LED night light that changes colour based on humidity which is a nice touch.

I wish I had bought more of these when they were on sale! It works very well and is so much easier to fill than other types of humidifiers. As a bonus, it also looks way nicer than the other ones I have. Those ones get relegated to the bedrooms but this one is in my main living area. I haven't used the wifi feature so I can't comment on that aspect.

Very happy with this humidifier. Can someone explain the blue filter « sponge » in the bottom section. Do we just let it float or is there a space we need to put it. Thanks!

As advertised. Very quiet. The light however is not very bright, cannot see it when the lights of the room are on.

Winter is coming and the dryness too. This will keep our home comfy… Very good!

I would have given this 2 stars or less were it not for the price. I purchased two and here are my findings Pros: Works well to humidify my apartment. Easy to top fill while still in operation. Stylish design and looks great Cons: Not very Smart. Only works on 2.4 ghz networks. Mine is not and most reading this will probably say the same. So, all Smart features including humidity monitor are unavailable. Very disappointing. Essential oil tray is located on the bottom of device, which means you have to empty first to access or risk spilling water everywhere and even electrocuting yourself.. This is the only humidifier I've ever purchased with this design flaw. They have always been available with an easily accessible pull out tray or top load. The lowest setting for the humidifier still puts out a lot of humidity and goes through the water quickly. This could have been set lower from the factory and for some reason wasn't? The built in light is completely useless. Even in complete darkness it can be hard to even notice. Buyer beware if you are considering one of these as you too may find yourself disappointed.
