    Nice build quality but unfortunately Prime Cables own brand XLR cables are wired incorrectly. The industry standard is pin 1=GND, Pin2=plus(hot) and pin 3=minus. But PrimeCables are wired pin1=plus, Pin2=minus and pin3=GND. The signal does get through, but the shield end up being used as a signal wire and a signal wire as a shield. This can cause hum and weird AM radio type noise which XLR is meant to overcome! The metal shell at each end is floating (not connected to the shield braid) which is just as well as hot signal from the mic/pre-amp would end up being shorted to chassis. Really disappointed with these cables, have a whole bunch of them that I'll need to rewire at both ends now.

      We received this package and 2 of the 6 cables we ordered had screws out. You can see this through the plastic packaging.
