I replaced the Magsafe that came with my 17" MBP with this one back when it was ~$50 here (~$150 from Apple). It's been great, but I do put it through the ringer. When I saw them drop in price I ordered a bundle of them. As soon as they arrived I realized why they dropped in price: the Apple logo is gone. Because we know these are original Magsafe, I'm assuming that Apple has forced the manufacturer to stop distributing them with the Apple logo if they are not being sold through Apple or Apple partners. So think about it. The Apple logo is worth something in the area of ~$125. Buying this isn't just about saving money. Apple makes great products but we pay dearly for their monopoly. They take us to the guillotine with the rapid deteriorating chargers for the laptops, ipads and iphones. This is just us trying to get a bit of our money back. Thanks PhoneGala! Much appreciated!

Very happy with my new adapter. The adapter that came with my MacBook finally stopped working, and I needed a new adapter a.s.a.p. This adapter charges up my MacBook just as well as the original adapter did, and it's slightly lighter weight than the original, which is great for transport. As one of the least expensive MacBook chargers I've seen, I didn't know what to expect. Most of what I buy from here is good quality, so I took a chance and was rewarded. It is indeed an 85W supply, as my MacBook couldn't start with a spare 60W. Heat is always the problem with these replacement adapters, but mine ran just as cool as the original. It has a good weight, and feels well built. The cables were new, and even came with protective covers. Very happy.

Cheap, gets too hot and I expect it will blow up in under 6 months - BUT for under $20 and arrived in 48 hours - who cares?! At this price, I can replace it three times a year for three years and still be ahead of the game versus the Apple original. I LOVE that I now leave one at work and one at home - cuts the time to pack up in half. Plus, I never worry too much about losing it. Good job!
