.The item is pretty accurate. It's also very fast reading. I tried it on ice straight out of the freezer and it was the same as the freezer set temperature. Then I pointed it on my home thermostat and it read the same as the thermostat and as expected. I also tried it on different objects in the room such as leather couch, interior wall, basement was a bit cooler by less than couple degrees as expected. I also tried it on a pizza straight out of the oven and it read 70c. The body is light weight. The display has backlight for easy reading and you can switch between C & F with a push of 1 button. The laser light can also be turned on or off and it's only needed to point at the right object specially if you're few feet away. I tried it up close and as far as 10 feet away and it still reads the same. Great product compared to others that cost over $100 for fraction of the cost. It's very handy to have and your can find many uses for it such as detecting any cold air or leaks in the house. See attached pictures please.
