Although any ink will do if just printing text documents, I stick with OEM ink since I print both text documents and photos on my printer and want the highest quality, fade resistant ink for my photos. Never had an issue with HP ink drying up before the cartridge was empty and have used the same printer for 7 or 8 years with no issues. However, it is important to check the expiration date when buying ink to avoid any issues depending on how fast you use up your ink and all of the ink I have purchased so far from shopperplus is new, with a long expiration date so can buy ahead of time and not worry about getting an old cartridge or ink issues.

Best prices, ink cartridge lasts quite a long time. Expensive compared to non-original, but less hassle, as HP printers sometimes get finicky with "compatible" items!
